I'm happy to be a part of the effort to continue our fight to protect the Bahsahwahbee sacred site for the Confederated Goshute Tribes. Assembly Bill 171, which makes it unlawful to harm or destroy the sacred swamp cedar trees, passed in the Nevada Senate and was signed by Governor Sisolak. Assembly Joint Resolution 4 also passed in the Nevada Senate, which asks the Nevada delegation to urge Congress and the Biden Administration to provide some secure federal protection for Bahsahwahbee, such as a National Monument.
